Day 1 & Day 2

Day 1 : - London Gatwick 9.40am to Split Croatia, arrival  13.10pm local time.  Rest day. Dinner at Plaza Duce hotel.

Day 2  : - Visit to national park Krka.  The top attraction of the park is its magnificent waterfalls including the famous Skradinski Buk falls which are one of Croatia's most famous sights. Other highlights include the small island of Visovac and Roaski Slap waterfall. A boat trip through the park is a great way of seeing much of the park and is included in your tour.

Lunch will be at hand-picked local traditional tavern. The highlight of this lunch will be Dalmatian Peka. This is a meat dish cooked under an iron bell.

The freshness and simplicity of Croatian food is suprising.  One can see that the traditional method of slow cooking big joints of meat in a sealed room on wood fire has been used in this region for centuries.

Day 3

Day 3

After finishing breakfast at the hotel, its time to walk off all the caloires with a walking tour of Split. This is hosted by local Split expert Henry. Henry’s knowledge and passion about Split and its history is infectious and astounding.

The highlight of the day is a visit to Stella Croatica.

Here we will enjoy a culinary presentation of the principles of Mediterranean diet. We will also see a demonstration of traditional bread making techniques. This will be followed by a four course lunch.

The Stella Ethno Agro Park Croatia in Klis is a blend of gastronomic, cultural and natural heritage of the Dalmatian hinterland where guests can feel and experience, with all their senses, the beauty of its nature, fragrance and taste of local dishes. In addition, it also features a traditional dessert production plant and a ethno-village with olive groves, gardens and an aroma-park. Guests also have access to the first private botanical garden situated within the complex.

This experience includes entry to the Klis fortress (used as a location for the fictional city of Meereen in the Game of Thrones!

Day 4

Day 4

Travel to Dubrovnik where we will stop on route for Wine tasting in Pelješac area. The vineyard we have chosen is one of the oldest in the region. Here we will try 2 premium red wines, 1 rose and 1 white wine followed by an exclusive dessert wine. This region produces some rare and stunning wines developed by small farmers in micro vineyards. The region boasts of sandy soil and cool breeze which results in complex and character full wines. Most vineyards produce less than three thousand bottles a year which are mostly consumed by local fine dining restaurants and rarely make it out of the county.

We will then continue on to Ston where we will enjoy oysters and seafood. This coastal restaurant is a landmark destination for visitors and is famous for its seafood dishes. The pristine and clear waters of this region surprises people. The taste of the seafood is nothing like anywhere else. The region is also known for its ancient salt basins where sea salt is still produced using traditional methods.
